Privacy notice
Last updated: 25 October 2026 (beta)
What we collect
- From Telegram: your Telegram ID, name, username and profile photo link. We don't get your phone number.
- What you send: questions, answers (text or photos of handwritten pages), corrections to the text we read, ratings (๐/๐) and rewrites.
- What we produce: your evaluations and scores.
- Usage events: for example when you start, sign up, submit or rate. We use them to see whether the service works.
How we use it
- To read your handwriting, evaluate your answer and show you the result and your history.
- To keep the service working and fair, for example daily limits.
- Only if you opt in at sign-up or later with /privacy: to improve our evaluator and train our own model using your answers without your name, Telegram ID or contact details. You can switch this off at any time.
Photos
Photos of your answers are used to read the text. If you have not opted in to training use, they are deleted as soon as the text has been read. If you have opted in, they may be kept to improve handwriting reading.
Who processes your data
- Google (Gemini API): your question, answer text and photos are sent to Google to read handwriting and produce the evaluation.
- Supabase: our database, hosted in Seoul, South Korea.
- Hugging Face: the server that runs the service.
- Telegram: delivers messages between you and the bot.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Send /delete to the bot to erase your account, answers and evaluations permanently. Anonymous usage counts (for example "12 evaluations today") may be kept.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw training consent (/privacy), at any time. Write to hello@upscai.space.
Age
The service is meant for UPSC aspirants aged 18 or over.
